Game Developer · 3D Artist · Music Producer
I make games, 3D worlds, and the music that plays in them, and I lead the team that ships them.
What I do
I like being useful wherever a project needs me. Here's where I spend my time.
Building gameplay in Unreal Engine: abilities with the Gameplay Ability System, Niagara effects, collision, and the systems that make a game feel good to play.
Unreal work →Modeling, texturing, lighting, and rendering in Blender, from game-ready props to full scenes and animated logo spins.
Blender work →Producing original beats and game music in Ableton Live, sometimes with a guitar, under the name blkcitrus.
Music →Running a five-person indie team: planning, task tracking in Trello, playtesting with real players, and keeping everyone moving toward launch day.

Haunted Harvest started as my idea, and now I'm the project manager and creator leading the team that's building it. My job is to keep the vision clear and the work moving, and to jump in wherever the game needs me.
Coming to itch.io on November 5
I'm Curtis, a game developer, 3D artist, and music producer from New Jersey. Right now I'm leading a five-person indie team as the project manager and creator of Haunted Harvest, an original Unreal Engine game launching November 5. I came up with the concept, I keep the team's work organized and moving, and I jump in wherever the game needs me: building in Unreal, modeling assets in Blender, and writing the music in Ableton. I'm mostly self-taught, and I like it that way. Every project starts with something I don't know how to do yet. My dodgeball game taught me collision, Niagara effects, and how to build abilities the right way with Unreal's Gameplay Ability System. I share that process on my YouTube channel, mistakes included. Before games, I spent four years on a service desk solving problems and training new hires, and three years leading a 20-person crew in a high-volume kitchen. That's where I learned to stay calm under pressure, keep a team organized, and make sure the work actually gets done. If you're building something and want someone who can plan it, build it, and make it sound good, let's talk.

An inventory app I built after years of managing stock with spreadsheets: purchase orders, receiving with automatic price checks, blind cycle counts, and monthly reports. It runs in any browser, including phones.
